Are you familiar with MRSA? MRSA is the common acronym used to refer to methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, an antibiotic resistant strain of staph infection. While MRSA has been around for decades it is of concern to doctors and medical professionals because of its resistance to standard treatments. This can cause a delay in diagnosis and treatment that might allow MRSA to spread in the body becoming more dangerous.

The good news is that there are medicines available to treat MRSA infections. Still, the best way to deal with MRSA is to avoid it! MRSA is spread primarily through physical contact.
