Accidental Apartment Fire Requires Scene Cleanup Expertise

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

Graham wanted to smoke one more rock. Although he had been getting high all night, he felt like he needed one more smoke to fully reach nirvana and feel no pain. What he failed to realize is that he had already reached a state where he could feel no pain. Even worse (although he didn’t think of it this way), he had lost all sense of coordination. Instead of using a regular lighter, he relied on a torch to ignite his rock. As he activated the torch several inches from his pipe, he knocked over a bottle of booze, grain alcohol actually, all over his clothes. After he belched out a few expletives he inadvertently pulled the ignited torch towards himself and started a fire that spread into a minor conflagration. His smoke alarm went off alerting his apartment manager who called the fire department.

The fire over all did not hurt his apartment too bad. Graham was a different story. Not only did he have to be rushed to the hospital for third degree burns but he also was placed under arrest. The crack – just a little because he had smoked so much there was little of his stash left – was confiscated and placed into evidence.

But the apartment did have to be cleaned. The police called in a crime scene cleaner who removed much of the burnt carpet, some of his tarred tissue and the remainder of pieces of furniture, drapes and flooring that were damaged. Then the crime scene clean up company disinfected and sanitized the entire apartment.

The apartment manager was most pleased. As Graham was going to be spending the rest of his lease locked up and such occurrence was grounds, under the lease, to invalidate his term, the manager could relet the apartment to a new tenant. Thank God he had the sense to bring in the crime scene cleaners. Not only did he get rid of a destructive bad apple but he had the chance to mitigate his losses with an apartment that looked better than anytime Graham was there.

Accident Scene Taints Children’s Playgrounds

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

It’s a beautiful morning in the neighborhood that the Johnsons reside. A gorgeous Saturday in April when the dogwoods have bloomed and the azaleas are shimmering with pink color. Not only are the three Johnson children bursting at the seams to get outside and either play baseball or throw a football or ride their bikes but in the back of their parents’ minds is the certainty that the kids will be busy playing all day. The weather forecast is for blue skies and mild temperatures with zero chance of rain.

What is not known to the Johnsons is that on the Friday night before a bad traffic accident had occurred just down the street at a place that their kids always go on their bikes. Still left at the accident scene is the residue of blood and tissue that neither the police nor the EMTs that responded had seen fit to clean. When the kids went down there after breakfast they saw the dried up blood and other remnants of the horrible accident from the preceding night.

Now if you were the Johnsons would you want your kids exposed to this? If the police or the city in which the Johnsons live had just brought in a blood scene cleaning company or an accident scene cleaning company then these kids would not be subject to this nearby hazard. Accident scene cleaning companies frequently include crime scene cleanups, homicide scene cleanups, suicide scene cleanups, meth lab cleanups, odor removal cleanups and other death scene cleanups in addition to blood scene cleanups. So a city police force can rely on these accident scene cleaning companies to make sure that a gorgeous spring day in the neighborhood can be just that for all the kids; not an extension of the horrible incident that occurred the night previously.

The Experience Is Necessary

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

A family of four is spending a comfortable Sunday afternoon strolling down the sidewalk in their neighborhood walking to a nearby park. A negligent driver, drunk from the several alcoholic beverages he consumed, cruises down the road at speeds in excess of fifteen miles per hour over the stated limit. As it goes past one intersection another car pulls out. In a feeble effort to avoid the other car, the intoxicated driver swerves, goes up on to the sidewalk and hits the entire family and a utility pole. The entire family is killed and the driver is severely injured, bleeding profusely and suffering from many broken bones.

Within minutes the city police arrive at the scene. They immediately call an ambulance for the driver who will be held in custody once at the hospital. They then call an accident scene cleaner company. With expertise in suicide scene cleanups, meth lab cleanups, odor removal cleanups and other death scene cleanups in addition to blood scene cleanups, this company wields the experience necessary to handle the job. In this particular case, both the mother and father were widely known in the neighborhood. Each in their own right was esteemed within their professional circles and within the community. The trauma among those in the area is expected to be significant.

By jumping into quick, but not reckless, action, the accident scene cleaners are able to restore the sight to its previous beauty. By the next morning, several mourners and others who wish to pay their respects by placing flowers and notes of affection about those who lost their lives. Had the accident scene cleaning company not done their job with such esprit, this fitting, if sad, memorial would not have been able to take place.

A Cleanup Company, Vital Part Of Law Enforcement Organizations

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Accident scene cleaning has become a more vital part of law enforcement organizations who need to respond quickly to traffic accidents. As more and more people have moved to large metropolitan areas that are generally served by multi-lane interstate highways, the number of traffic accidents has risen markedly. Also because of the severe impediment that these accidents constitute to all the other motorists who are trying to get to work, get kids to or from school or make their appointments, the premium for quick accident scene cleanup is significant. Several accident scene cleanup companies, many of whom also perform blood scene cleanup, murder scene cleanup, suicide scene cleanup, bio hazard cleanup and meth lab cleanup should be brought to the scene to work with the police in clearing out the roadways expeditiously, carefully and thoroughly.

It is vital that the police utilize a professional accident scene cleanup company for these jobs. A company with blood scene cleaning capabilities is preferable if an accident involves the loss of blood. An accident scene cleaning company can remove all debris, scour the accident scene of any blood or dangerous chemicals and can verify the site is ready for renewed highway travel.

Every time there is an accident on a highway artery in a major American city the lives of countless people are not only inconvenienced but also many people who rely on making business appointments can lose the opportunity to make money. Cities that maintain accident scene cleanup companies on call or on retainer can minimize the problem for their citizenry and others who rely on these highways. As most of these accident scene cleanup companies also specialize in blood scene cleanup, murder scene cleanup, suicide scene cleanup, bio hazard cleanup and meth lab cleanup, these companies can play a vital role in keeping a busy city rolling right along.
