A 24-year-old Illinois man decided to jump out of his plane over Spring Hill, Fla. after it started to break apart in midair. The faulty 2010 Czech Sport aircraft “was in a “flat spin” and apparently had lost a wing before it went down,” said Deputies and Hernando County firefighters in the Tampa Tribune. It crashed within a mile of where the man’s body landed, which happened to be on a residential street. The body shattered on impact peppering nearby homes and leaving a watermelon type splatter ingrained on both the asphalt road and a homeowner’s driveway.
One neighbor called Advanced Bio-Treatment requesting advice on proper trauma scene clean up as families were quite affected by this horrific event. ABT warned there were serious bio hazard safety concerns about kids possibly coming in contact with blood and body fluid while outside, and that a proper scene cleanup should be done. Additionally, the need to remove a shadowy stain that constantly reminded neighbors of the spectacular nature of the young man’s death was recommended.
After assessing the approximate 40 yard stain and other visible contamination located on a garage door, mail boxes, walls, and on top of shingled roofs, ABT concluded that there were multiple points of unseen contamination that could come in direct contact with children and adults and recommended a proper trauma scene cleanup. ABT recommended that the entire area be disinfected and offered ideas for the removal or alteration of the stain. Unfortunately, the neighbor that called disregarded the biological nature of the hazard and no one called back.
In this day and age it is very important to protect yourself, your family and others who may visit you by properly cleaning scenes of accidents, death, suicide and other biological hazards. And since many homeowners insurance policies will pay for it, why would you not have a expert cleanup company take care of the particular trauma scene by which you are affected? Last, even the value of your property may be negatively affected if you do not have a professional trauma scene cleaner make it safe.
