No Visible Reminders At Workplace Shooting

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

A man peers at the note in his hand. Coming just seven days after his wife kicked him out of the house, he re-reads the words on his termination notice from his job at the car plant. With the removal of his personal effects as the only thing he has left to do at the factory, he sluggishly puts on his navy jacket and leaves to go down there checking the contents of his left inside pocket. When he gets to the gate of the plant, he shows his ID card and tells the security guy he is there to clean out his locker. The security attendant waves him on in. He enters the factory through the employee entrance, walks to the locker room and loads up his belongings.

Before exiting he walks over to the factory floor. His ex-foreman, seeing him on the floor, comes over to tell him good-bye and “it’s time for him to go.” Disapproving of his foreman’s smirk, the laid off man pulls a gun from his pocket, fires at the foreman killing him with one shot to the cranium and unleashes a series of shots killing two other men directly and one indirectly as the man was shot in the arm while lifting part of a car assembly. The assembly fell onto another man smothering him to death. After the gun’s chamber was empty, the disconsolate man dropped the weapon and was summarily tackled by three other workers.

In addition to the police, a crime scene cleaning company was summoned to the factory. Blood, ripped tissue and other organic material was strewn all over the factory. The crime scene cleaning company, well-experienced in performing suicide scene cleanups, meth lab cleanups, odor removal cleanups and other death scene cleanups and blood scene cleanups, sprung in to action. Knowledgeable of pertinent OSHA regulations, they were able to work well with the management of the factory. Cognizant of the need to preserve certain evidence for the police case against the arrested perpetrator, they consulted with the lead detective to ensure all evidence was properly gathered at certain times of the cleaning. Encouraged by the management of the company to act expeditiously, they worked swiftly but carefully.

The workers on the shift at that time will never forget the horror of that day. However, to the extent the physical reminders of the tragedy were removed as quickly as possible, there was no visible reminder to retrigger the trauma of the day although the sad memories will linger in their minds.

The Experience Is Necessary

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

A family of four is spending a comfortable Sunday afternoon strolling down the sidewalk in their neighborhood walking to a nearby park. A negligent driver, drunk from the several alcoholic beverages he consumed, cruises down the road at speeds in excess of fifteen miles per hour over the stated limit. As it goes past one intersection another car pulls out. In a feeble effort to avoid the other car, the intoxicated driver swerves, goes up on to the sidewalk and hits the entire family and a utility pole. The entire family is killed and the driver is severely injured, bleeding profusely and suffering from many broken bones.

Within minutes the city police arrive at the scene. They immediately call an ambulance for the driver who will be held in custody once at the hospital. They then call an accident scene cleaner company. With expertise in suicide scene cleanups, meth lab cleanups, odor removal cleanups and other death scene cleanups in addition to blood scene cleanups, this company wields the experience necessary to handle the job. In this particular case, both the mother and father were widely known in the neighborhood. Each in their own right was esteemed within their professional circles and within the community. The trauma among those in the area is expected to be significant.

By jumping into quick, but not reckless, action, the accident scene cleaners are able to restore the sight to its previous beauty. By the next morning, several mourners and others who wish to pay their respects by placing flowers and notes of affection about those who lost their lives. Had the accident scene cleaning company not done their job with such esprit, this fitting, if sad, memorial would not have been able to take place.

Avoid A Staph Infection

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Staph infections generally become infectious when they enter a wound or some other type of punctured skin. Still one of the best ways to avoid a staph infection, which is basically a bacteria known as staphylococcus aureus, is by regularly washing your hands and taking daily baths and making sure that your cuts or any other wounds are sufficiently treated and covered.

In the event that you or your child (children get the staph infection at a higher rate per capita because of their higher chance of having cuts and wounds on their skin) does get a staph infection, it is vital not only to get the infected patient treated by a doctor but also to have a staph infection cleaning company come in and decontaminate and sanitize the area in which the infected patient resides and lives. These staph infection cleanup companies frequently also perform accident scene cleanups, crime scene cleanups, homicide scene cleanups, suicide scene cleanups, meth lab cleanups, odor removal cleanups and death scene cleanups indicating a wide range of expertise in chemically treating and sanitizing infected areas.

The likelihood of infection by another family member or employee or friend is heightened if the staph infection clean up is not performed. While the treatment is not complicated it is warranted. Don’t be foolish. Subject an infected area to a proper cleaning. Bring in a staph infection cleaner company if your residence, place of work or meeting place has been compromised.

The Unbearable Stress

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

When a family learns that one of its members has taken of the tragic step  committing suicide the last thing that they want to see is the physical remnants of that horrible act. Suicide scene clean up companies can be brought in to remove the tissue and blood that gets eviscerated and scattered by those forms of suicide that involve a firearm. Subject to police permission, the suicide scene clean up companies can rid the site of these remnants relieving the family of the unwanted reminders of such a painful event.

But these suicide scene clean up companies serve other interests as well. First of all, many of these suicide scene clean up companies also perform blood scene clean ups, murder scene clean ups and other forms of crime scene clean ups. Accordingly, these suicide scene clean up companies frequently have expertise in the area of removing bio hazards so they know how to ensure that any tissue or blood residue can spread and infiltrate an otherwise safe environment.

They use chemicals and solutions and other devices to sanitize the building or area in which the suicide takes place. This allows people to continue to live safely at the location. Of course, unfortunately in many cases, the families of the lost one cannot handle the psychological toll of continuing to live in the same house or apartment where such a tragedy took place but they will be able to sell the house or apartment or have it relet if the sanitary conditions are not in question.

As difficult a time as it must be for family who has suffered such a major loss, the services provided by suicide scene clean up companies can alleviate some of the unbearable stress experienced by the family and solve some of the concrete environmental issues posed by the incident.

The Proper Way For Crime Scene Cleanup

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

The processes necessary to perform a proper accident scene cleanup, homicide scene cleanup, crime scene cleanup or suicide scene cleanup generally involve at least three aspects:

  1. The assessment of a site to learn what the accident scene cleanup regime will entail; i.e., what chemicals, bloods, toxins, debris, or other hazardous materials remain;
  2. What chemicals, products or other agents are necessary to disinfect or sanitize an a crime scene cleanup site, a blood scene cleanup site or a homicide scene cleanup location; and
  3. The procedure for utilizing the chemicals, products or agents necessary to for the sanitizing or disinfecting process of an accident scene cleanup site, blood scene cleanup site, homicide scene cleanup site or a suicide scene cleanup site.

Once these three steps are taken to ensure a crime scene cleanup, accident scene cleanup, blood scene cleanup, homicide scene cleanup or suicide scene cleanup is performed correctly, that professional accident scene cleanup company needs to then follow up by verifying that the process worked. Did all of the toxins, chemicals or blood that were part of the accident scene cleanup site, blood scene cleanup site, homicide scene cleanup site or suicide scene cleanup get completely removed? Once the answer to that question is determined to be an unqualified “yes”, then you know that the accident scene cleanup, blood scene cleanup, homicide scene cleanup or suicide scene cleanup was properly and fully conducted.
